September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.  Every year over 10,000 men are newly diagnosed with prostate cancer and 2,000 men die from the disease in the Cancer Registry of Greater California (CRGC) catchment area. CRGC researchers are committed to working to reduce the burden of this cancer. We are currently one of nine cancer registries across the US participating in the RESPOND Prostate cancer study (link), aimed at improving outcomes for African American men with prostate cancer.
